Resume Thumbnails
A resume is essentially a document uses to show case a persons background, skills and accomplishments.It is essentially an advertisement of ones self with the intention to secure potential opportunities. On average an employer would view a resume for 20 seconds.
Some rules of thumb to keep in mind:
- Include legible fonts (no cursive or fancy fonts )
- Keep the same format throughout the resume
- When including your educational background, if you have under a 3.5 it is not worth mentioning .
Your designs are varied and unique, numbers 3, and 6 especially stand out. Numbers 7 and 8 present the information easily yet streamlined. 1 and 5 have unique borders and graphics that draw the eye and focus the readers attention. Numbers 2 and 4 are basic but look organized and flow well.
ReplyDeleteThese designs are very dynamic and strategic, except for perhaps your 2nd design. Thumbnails #'s 1, 3, and 6 are also very creative and bold, which is helpful for employers to remember your resume out from all of the rest of the other possible applicants. Ultimately, you may want to be a little more specific with your thumbnail designs, so that it will be easier for you to work on your future editing procedures.
